# How to Save a Search in KeyPedia

**A saved search** remembers your whole query, keywords and filters both. Open it later and everything comes back exactly as you left it. You also get a KRA score for the search (read more about that [here](https://www.keypedia.com/media/what-is-a-kra-score)), and updates when new documents and events are issued.

## Saving a new search
**1. Run your search.** Type your keywords, pick your filters, let the results load.
**2. Save it.** Apply your filters and KeyPedia offers to save the search. Click the bookmark icon to the right of the search bar.
**3. Name it.** A green banner confirms the save and fills in a name. Click the pencil to change it, then the green check. Pick something you will recognize later, "Bio medical suppliers, EU" beats "Untitled search."

## Tip: share the search, not just the results
A saved search has its own link. Click **Copy share link** in the green confirmation banner, or use the share icon next to the star in the Dashboard header.
Whoever opens it lands on the same keywords and the same filters, no rebuilding on their end. Useful for handing a supplier review to a colleague, dropping a scope into a ticket, or sending your own view to someone before a call.

## Finding your saved searches
Two ways in.
**From Home.** They sit in a card below the search bar, along with a count of new matches since you last looked.
**From Dashboard.** Click the Saved searches pill under the search bar to open the Saved Queries window.
Each row shows the name, the filters it captured, when the underlying records last changed, how many records and inspections match, and the date you saved it. Click a row to load that search back into the dashboard.

## Renaming and deleting
Both happen in the Saved Queries window.
**To rename**, click the pencil next to the search name, type the new one, and confirm.
**To delete**, click the trash icon and confirm. Deleting cannot be undone.

## Getting more out of saved searches
**Save the broad version first.** If you are still exploring, save early. Then narrow down and save the tighter version separately. Two searches cost nothing.
**Name it for your future self.** Company, topic, date range. You will not remember what "Untitled search" meant.
**Check the count before you save.** If the record count looks off, your scope is off. Easier to fix now than to wonder later why nothing is showing up.
**Come back to them.** KeyPedia adds records as regulators publish. A search from last month may have new results today.
