> The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued guidance for organizations seeking to feature agency experts at events or conferences. Unlike an inspection report, this document focuses on procedural compliance rather than violations or specific inspection dates. The MHRA evaluates speaker invitations based on their alignment with corporate business objectives and the potential for meaningful stakeholder engagement that cannot be achieved through other channels. Under this regulatory framework, the MHRA does not charge a speaker fee; however, the requesting organization is responsible for arranging and funding all travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs to ensure the agency incurs no financial deficit. Required actions for event organizers include submitting a formal application via the online Speaker Request Form at least four to six months in advance. Direct contact with MHRA staff regarding these requests is discouraged to maintain a standardized approval process. The agency endeavors to provide a response within 18 working days. Finally, organizers are encouraged to submit feedback to the MHRA Customer Services Team to assist in refining the request process. This system ensures that expert knowledge is shared transparently while adhering to the agency’s strategic priorities and fiscal policies.

## Content

Complete the speaker request form if you want to request a MHRA speaker to present at your event or conference. About MHRA speakers Before accepting an invitation to speak, we consider the following: if the speaking engagement is in line with our corporate and business objectives if the MHRA is already planning to speak on this subject, including at an MHRA-organised event We accept speaker requests only where the event would provide us with an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders that is not otherwise available All requests must be submitted via our online Speaker Request Form . Speaker fees The MHRA does not charge speaker fees. However, we do ask that the event organisers arrange and pay for the speaker’s travel, accommodation and subsistence costs. This is to ensure the MHRA does not incur any financial loss. Making a request We encourage you to tell us if you would like a specific member of the MHRA team or subject matter expert, but be prepared to be flexible, as your first choice may not always be available. All requests must be submitted via the speaker request form and should not be sent directly to MHRA staff. The MHRA needs as much notice as possible when requesting a speaker. Four to six months advance notice is ideal. We will accept requests at shorter notice, but we are less likely to be able to provide you with suitable speakers. We endeavour to get back to you within 18 working days of the initial request, however in some cases the approval process may take longer. Feedback Please email any feedback to MHRA Customer Services Team at info@mhra.gov.uk as this helps improve the service for other users.
