> The Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF), implemented in October 2019, serves as a pivotal agreement between the UK government, the NHS, and the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC). This framework is designed to fulfill the strategic ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan by significantly expanding and transforming the professional responsibilities of community pharmacies. Although the provided documentation does not detail specific inspections or regulatory violations, it establishes the regulatory framework within which pharmacies must operate to deliver enhanced healthcare services. The primary goal is to transition community pharmacies from traditional dispensing roles into clinical service providers that are fully integrated into the primary care system. Required actions involve the implementation of new service models aimed at improving patient outcomes and streamlining access to care. By leveraging the expertise of pharmaceutical professionals, the CPCF seeks to alleviate pressure on other healthcare sectors, such as general practitioners and emergency departments. This policy ensures that the pharmaceutical sector remains a sustainable and vital component of the national health strategy, focusing on preventative medicine and efficient medication management across the United Kingdom.
