Get started in 3 simple steps
1. Have a Claude account (sign up here for free).
2. Have a KeyPedia account (sign up here for free).
3. Add KeyPedia to Claude through our public listing in Claude’s connector directory.
That’s it.
Regulatory research usually means leaving the work you are doing. You open a database, build a search, read the records, then carry what you found back to the report, the audit plan or the supplier file. Every question is another round trip.
The KeyPedia Connector is a new way to reach KeyPedia: from inside the AI assistant you already use. Your assistant can now search KeyPedia's FDA 483s, warning letters, inspections and company profiles, read the evidence, check KRA risk scores, and keep your saved searches up to date, all from one conversation. No new subscription. No second window. The same data your account already has.

Everything KeyPedia knows, where you already work
The assistant does the clicking for you. Ask the way you would ask a colleague, and it runs the searches, reads the records and brings back an answer with the source attached.
Check a supplier in seconds
- "What has the FDA found at this manufacturer since 2024?"
- "Summarise the inspection history for this facility and tell me if anything changed this year."
- "What does this warning letter say about data integrity?"
Screen a whole supplier list
Paste your supplier list, ten names or five hundred. KeyPedia matches each name to the right company, ranks the list by KRA risk score, and tells you which names it could not match with confidence.
- "Here are my 40 suppliers. Which ones are red?"
- "Which of these sites had a 483 in the last 12 months?"
- "Save these as one supplier watch list, or as one saved search per supplier."
Use KRA as your starting point
Every company the assistant finds comes with its KRA score: red, yellow or green, the percentile behind it, and the main reasons for it, such as a recent Official Action inspection or a long gap since the last visit. Ask for a group of companies and you get the group's risk at a glance: how many sites are red, yellow and green, and the five that need attention first.
- "Rank these sites by KRA and explain the top three."
- "Why is this facility yellow?"
Keep watch without logging in
Your saved searches come with you. The assistant can tell you what is new, which searches moved up in risk, and share a search with a colleague as a link.
- "What changed in my saved searches this week?"
- "Run my sterile injectables search and show me only the new records."
- "Share my Supplier Watch search with my team."
Put the evidence to work
Because the answer arrives inside your assistant, you can take the next step in the same conversation: draft the audit agenda from the open observations, write the supplier section of your annual product review, compare a site's findings against your own SOP, or turn a quarter of 483s into a one-page summary for leadership.
How to connect
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- Name it KeyPedia and paste this address:
https://mcp.keypedia.com/mcp - Sign in with your KeyPedia account and choose Allow.
That's it.
Add KeyPedia once. It is then available in every chat.
Using Claude Code? Run this once in your terminal, then type /mcp and choose KeyPedia to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http keypedia https://mcp.keypedia.com/mcp
The same steps are on your Connected apps page in KeyPedia settings.
What happens after you connect
Important: the connector sees only what your KeyPedia subscription allows. If a record is outside your plan on the KeyPedia site, it is outside the connector too.
When you sign in, KeyPedia asks which permissions to allow:
- Company and document details
- Document excerpts, never whole files
- Counts and trends, including KRA scores
- Your saved searches
- Save and share searches for you
The last one is switched off unless you tick it. Leave it off and the connector only reads. Tick it and your assistant can save a search or create a share link, and it asks you before it does either.
You choose what the connector can do each time you connect.
You stay in control
- You sign in on KeyPedia's own page. Your assistant never sees your password.
- Your Connected apps page lists every connection and what it can do.
- One click disconnects it, effective immediately.
- Searches saved from your assistant appear on your KeyPedia dashboard like any other.
Who this is for
Quality, regulatory and audit professionals who already use an AI assistant and want KeyPedia's evidence in the same place. Useful for audit preparation, supplier qualification and monitoring, annual product reviews, and quick answers in the middle of writing a report.
Why this exists
Most AI assistants answer regulatory questions from general knowledge, with no record behind the answer. The KeyPedia Connector gives the assistant the source: structured FDA records, each one traceable to the original document, and KeyPedia's own risk intelligence on top. You get the speed of asking a question and the confidence of a referenceable answer.
Connect KeyPedia to your assistant.
