FDA 483 - Southwest Airlines - August 14, 2025

An FDA inspection of Southwest Airlines' Reno, NV conveyance support facility revealed significant issues in preventing contamination of drinking water and the spread of communicable diseases. Observations included improper handling and storage of potable water hoses, inadequate sanitation practices by employees, and deficiencies in lavatory servicing and ice provisioning. Additionally, equipment design for condensate drainage was found to be inadequate for preventing backflow contamination.
