The main violations found during the testing included failed extractives tests, excessive microbial limits in capsule medications, and illegal sulfur dioxide residues in herbal products. Furthermore, several batches of traditional Chinese medicine pieces failed basic appearance standards. These issues represent significant deviations from the quality regulations established by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). In response to these findings, the Shanxi Provincial Drug Administration has initiated formal investigations into the non-compliant drugs.
