China NMPA Drug Inspection - Guangzhou Nanxue Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. - Antiviral oral liquid

The Guangdong Provincial Drug Administration, acting under the directives of the National Medical Products Administration, conducted comprehensive supervision and sampling inspections of drugs essential for COVID-19 prevention and control. This initiative, announced on February 13, 2020, aimed to enhance post-market quality oversight across pharmaceutical production, distribution, and medical institutions throughout the province. Two companies, Guangzhou Xiangxue Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Nanxin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., were inspected.

During the inspection, samples from five batches of two products GÇöantiviral oral liquid and peramivir sodium chloride injection GÇöwere collected. Subsequent testing by the Guangdong Provincial Institute for Drug Control confirmed that all sampled batches met the required quality standards. This successful outcome indicates compliance with regulatory frameworks and no significant violations or issues were identified. The regulatory action was a proactive measure to ensure drug quality and safety during a public health emergency, affirming the reliability of these critical medicines with no further actions required beyond their continued compliant status.
