The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Drug Administration announced the results of its June 2019 drug quality inspections on August 30, 2019. This initiative, part of the 2019 Autonomous Region Drug Sampling Plan, aimed to enhance drug safety across production, distribution, and consumption units. Of the drugs sampled, 265 batches were found compliant, while 9 batches failed to meet established quality standards. Key violations identified across the non-compliant drugs included deficiencies in physical appearance, inspection parameters such as fill weight variation, pH levels, and the presence of visible foreign matter. Additionally, issues were noted concerning microbial limits and accurate content determination. In response to these findings, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Drug Administration has directed relevant regulatory bodies to implement appropriate control measures and legally address the non-compliant products. Consumers were also advised to purchase medicines from regulated sources and verify product details via the National Medical Products Administration website.
