China NMPA Inspection - Changzhou Weibao Haitai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. - July 20, 2020

During the second quarter of 2020, the Jiangsu Provincial Drug Administration, in conjunction with the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for specific unannounced inspections, conducted supervision and inspection activities targeting cosmetics manufacturers in Jiangsu Province. This initiative operates under the broader regulatory framework of China's drug administration for cosmetics supervision.Inspections were carried out across 14 listed companies, revealing a range of compliance statuses. Numerous companies, including Changzhou Weibao Haitai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Danyang Chengshijia Chemical Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Juyuan Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Kolmar Cosmetics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Suzhou Xiehe Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Yangzhou Longyuan Tourist Products Factory, Jiangsu Luolaiya Industrial Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xixi'er Qidong Daily Chemical Products Co., Ltd., and AskBailande Biotechnology (Haimen) Co., Ltd., were found to have "defective items" or "deficiencies." These companies were mandated to rectify their identified issues within a specified timeframe. All subsequently submitted rectification reports, which were confirmed as satisfactory by their respective inspection branches.A more critical violation was discovered at Jiangsu Jiaoyan Barbie Cosmetics Co., Ltd., which exhibited a "serious defect" and was consequently ordered to suspend production for immediate rectification, a process currently underway. Conversely, Wujiang Xingbolong Daily Chemical Products Co., Ltd., Lizhi Beauty (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., and Kalaili Cosmetics Co., Ltd. (including Suzhou Kelaoli Cosmetics Co., Ltd.) demonstrated full compliance. Changzhou Lanbao Pharmaceutical and Health Products Co., Ltd. was not operational during its inspection, but its license remained valid.
