China NMPA Inspection - Chongqing Dingshang Biological Products Co., Ltd. - September 29, 2018

Chongqing Dingshang Biological Products Co., Ltd. underwent an unannounced inspection in 2018 by the National Food and Drug Administration and the Chongqing Municipal Food and Drug Administration. The inspection, based on the "Key Points for Cosmetic Production License Inspection," identified four serious and three general deficiencies.

Serious issues included incomplete batch production records for hair care lotion and hair-nourishing tea oil, a lack of essential equipment and materials for microbiological testing in the laboratory, and expired calibration certificates for a conductivity meter and pH meter.

General deficiencies noted were the improper storage of hazardous materials, an inadequate water quality control system that lacked specified sampling points and frequency for process water, and omitted heavy metal testing. Additionally, materials and products in warehouses were not stored away from walls or the ground, and the company failed to retain product samples in quantities meeting regulatory requirements.

As a result, the Chongqing Municipal Food and Drug Administration is required to mandate that the company rectify all identified problems within a specified period and submit a comprehensive report to the State Administration within two months.
