China NMPA Inspection - Guangxi Tiandong Zengnian Camellia Oil Co., Ltd. - September 30, 2018

An unannounced inspection of Guangxi Tiandong Zengnian Camellia Oil Co., Ltd. was conducted on June 28-29, 2018, by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Food and Drug Evaluation and Inspection Center and the Baise Municipal Food and Drug Administration. The inspection, based on the "Key Points for Cosmetic Production License Inspection" regulatory framework, revealed significant operational issues. The company was found to be shut down, having ceased all production activities since February 1, 2018, and had previously submitted a shutdown report to the Baise Municipal Food and Drug Administration. A primary issue was the complete absence of company personnel, which rendered the inspection impossible to complete effectively. As a result, the Baise Municipal Food and Drug Administration is required to conduct routine follow-up supervision. Critically, before Guangxi Tiandong Zengnian Camellia Oil Co., Ltd. can officially resume production, it must apply to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Food and Drug Administration for a new supervision and inspection. Production activities are strictly prohibited until compliant results are obtained from this pre-resumption inspection.
