China NMPA Inspection - Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region - December 15, 2017

The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Food and Drug Administration (Guangxi FDA) released the findings of its 2017 special supervision and sampling inspection of cosmetics on December 15, 2017. This extensive inspection aimed to bolster cosmetics safety management and ensure regulatory compliance within the market, operating under the established 2017 Guangxi Cosmetics Supervision and Sampling Inspection Work Plan and the 'Color Action' Work Plan. The focus of the inspection was hair dye products, with 350 batches sampled across the region. Regrettably, four of these batches were identified as substandard, indicating non-compliance with required safety and quality standards. In response to these significant findings, the Guangxi FDA has issued directives to all city-level food and drug administrations. These directives mandate thorough investigations and appropriate legal enforcement actions against the manufacturers and distributors responsible for the non-compliant cosmetic products, underscoring a commitment to public safety and market integrity.
