China NMPA Inspection - Guangzhou Keyimei Cosmetics Co., Ltd. - July 10, 2018

Guangzhou Keyimei Cosmetics Co., Ltd. was subject to an unannounced inspection by the National Food and Drug Administration on June 21, 2018. Based on the "Key Points for Cosmetics Production License Inspection," the inspection identified one serious defect and five general deficiencies. The most critical violation was an uncalibrated pressure gauge on a vacuum homogenizing emulsifier, indicating a significant lapse in equipment management and quality control. Other issues included microbiological testing deviations, where the mold and yeast culture temperature for finished products exceeded the specified range of 28 ± 2℃ as per the Cosmetic Safety Technical Specifications (2015 Edition). The company also failed to provide a 2018 calibration plan for laboratory instruments. Furthermore, preparation equipment was used past its disinfection expiration date, sampling points for the reverse osmosis pure water machine were unmarked, and warehouse storage for finished products and packaging materials lacked proper location labeling. The Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration is required to order the company to rectify these problems within a specified timeframe and subsequently report the corrective actions to the State Drug Administration.
