The Sichuan Provincial Drug Administration issued an announcement on June 4, 2021, detailing findings from its 2020 cosmetics supervision and sampling inspection. The inspection revealed three batches of counterfeit and substandard cosmetic products. Guangzhou Tengyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd.'s "Nobixing Baby Care Cream" was found to contain Ketoconazole, an ingredient not permitted for such a product. Separately, Guangzhou Yida Industrial Co., Ltd.'s "Ai Ran Hair water" and "Van Gogh Hair dye Cream" were cited for significant labeling discrepancies and undeclared ingredients. For example, the hair dyes contained substances like meta-aminophenol, p-phenylenediamine, and phenylmethylpyrazolone that were either not marked on labels or inconsistent with approved formulas. Local market supervision departments confirmed the counterfeit nature of these products. Under the regulatory framework of cosmetics supervision, the Provincial Drug Administration has instructed relevant municipal and prefecture market supervision departments to initiate legal actions against the manufacturers involved, ensuring compliance and consumer safety.
