China NMPA Inspection - Guangzhou Zidi Cosmetics Co., Ltd. - June 02, 2017

Guangzhou Zidi Cosmetics Co., Ltd. was subject to an unannounced supervisory inspection by the Food and Drug Inspection Center of the State Food and Drug Administration and the Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration on March 30-31, 2017. The inspection uncovered substantial non-compliance with cosmetics production license inspection guidelines and significant deficiencies within its quality management system.

The main issues identified included inadequate quality management implementation, characterized by a lack of recorded key process steps in batch production records and unlabeled products during emulsification and filling. Production management issues encompassed the presence of production waste in cleanrooms and a failure to follow established batch number coding procedures. The company also failed to retain finished product samples, holding only semi-finished and raw material samples. Material management deficiencies were noted, such as the improper room temperature storage of a raw material requiring refrigeration and the absence of a comprehensive semi-finished product management system, including shelf-life provisions.

Based on these findings, the Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration has mandated Guangzhou Zidi Cosmetics Co., Ltd. to implement corrective actions for all identified deficiencies within a specified period to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
