On August 19, 2025, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) issued an announcement detailing the outcomes of recent unannounced inspections. The inspections focused on Harbin Mixueer Cosmetics Co., Ltd., Hesheng Biotechnology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., and Kose International Trade (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. The NMPA identified serious deficiencies within the production quality management systems of all three companies. These issues constituted violations of the "Cosmetics Supervision and Management Regulations" and the "Cosmetics Production Quality Management Standards," raising concerns about public safety in cosmetics use. In response, the NMPA has directed the drug administrations in Heilongjiang, Chongqing, and Guangdong to initiate investigations and impose legal penalties. As an immediate action, the affected companies have been ordered to suspend all production and operational activities and to promptly rectify the identified problems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
