China NMPA Inspection - Lizhi Beauty (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. - December 31, 2019

In 2019, the Jiangsu Provincial Drug Administration conducted supervisory inspections of 50 cosmetic manufacturers, focusing on producers of special-purpose cosmetics and infant/child skincare products, under its provincial work plan for manufacturer oversight. The inspections also included follow-up on companies previously subject to unannounced State Administration of Cosmetics inspections. The findings revealed that 16 companies were largely compliant, while 29 companies exhibited quality management deficiencies. Five companies were found to be in a state of shutdown. The two companies that had faced State Administration inspections had successfully completed their rectifications. Consequently, the Jiangsu Provincial Drug Administration issued orders for the 29 companies with identified deficiencies to rectify these issues within a specified period, reinforcing the regulatory framework for cosmetic quality and safety in the region.
