The Jiangxi Provincial Drug Administration, operating under the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) framework, conducted unannounced inspections and spot checks of seven cosmetics-related enterprises in October 2020. These inspections, which took place between October 16th and 18th, aimed to ensure cosmetics quality and safety and to reinforce enterprises' primary responsibility in this area. Inspected entities included Nanchang Ouquanlin Cosmetics Co., Ltd., Wenfeng Beauty Salon, Jiangxi Tainike International Hotel Co., Ltd., Pretty Baby Nail Salon, Jinqiangwei Beauty Salon, Sephora (Shanghai) Cosmetics Sales Co., Ltd. Jiujiang Jingjiu Road Branch, and Jiujiang Economic Development Zone Meimei Routing Beauty and Skin Care Center. All inspected companies were found to have various deficiencies, ranging from three to eight defects per establishment. In response, the respective municipal market supervision bureaus (Nanchang and Jiujiang) were directed to take action. For Nanchang Ouquanlin Cosmetics, Wenfeng Beauty Salon, Jiangxi Tainike International Hotel, and Sephora (Shanghai) Cosmetics Sales, the bureaus were instructed to mandate rectification of deficiencies within a specified timeframe (30 days or two months) and to report compliance to the provincial administration. For Pretty Baby Nail Salon, Jinqiangwei Beauty Salon, and Jiujiang Economic Development Zone Meimei Routing Beauty and Skin Care Center, further verification and legal handling were required, with reports due within two months. This oversight highlights a commitment to maintaining product safety and quality within the cosmetics industry in Jiangxi Province.
