China NMPA Inspection - Ningxia Aiyi Biotechnology R&D Co., Ltd. - December 29, 2017

The Ningxia Food and Drug Administration conducted unannounced inspections on two cosmetic manufacturers, Ningxia Aiyi Bioengineering R&D Co., Ltd. and Yinchuan Fengyitang Bioengineering Co., Ltd., on November 1, 2017. These inspections, part of the region's 2017 cosmetic supervision plan, aimed to ensure compliance with cosmetic production licensing requirements and promote quality and safety.

For Ningxia Aiyi Bioengineering R&D Co., Ltd., deficiencies included incomplete raw material identification cards and batch production records, presence of unrelated packaging materials, missing equipment status labels, and a lack of inspection logs for machinery. Furthermore, finished product sample retention was inadequate, and unregistered products were found. The company also failed to provide inspector qualification certificates.

Yinchuan Fengyitang Bioengineering Co., Ltd. faced issues such as poorly designed workshop entrance and handwashing facilities, improper storage of transfer containers, and discrepancies in differential pressure readings for environmental control. Raw material storage lacked proper location cards, and critically, the efficacy claims for "Yiyun Sheep Embryo Facial Mask" and "Weiji Sheep Embryo Facial Mask" did not align with cosmetic definitions.

Both companies were ordered by the Ningxia Food and Drug Administration to implement corrective actions for the identified issues within a specified timeframe, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
