China NMPA Product Recall - Wireless Smart Electronic Blood Pressure Monitor

Hunan Sanyi Medical Technology Co., Ltd. initiated a voluntary Level III recall of its Wireless Smart Electronic Blood Pressure Monitors (model SY-B-003, batch number SYB191201) on September 9, 2020. This action was reported to the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and the Hunan Provincial Drug Administration. The primary issue identified was that the product's instruction manual did not comply with regulatory requirements, specifically failing to meet standard YY0670-2008 (4.2.3K). Of the 100 units produced in the affected batch, 50 were sold in China, predominantly in the Changsha region. In response, Hunan Sanyi Medical Technology Co., Ltd. is required to immediately halt sales, recall all affected products from distributors, investigate the underlying cause of the non-compliance, implement comprehensive preventive and corrective actions, and revise the instruction manual to ensure full adherence to regulatory standards.
