China NMPA Product Recall - Bacterial lysate (trade name: Lanjunjing)

Guangdong Ben Cao Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., the authorized distributor for Besti Pharmaceuticals of Italy, has conducted a voluntary recall of their Bacterial Lysate (trade name: Lan Jun Jing). This significant action stems from a National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announcement dated January 18, 2016, which determined that the imported product failed to meet China's Good Manufacturing Practices for Pharmaceuticals (GMP). As a direct consequence of this non-compliance, the NMPA had previously halted the importation of this particular drug. In response to the regulatory findings, Guangdong Ben Cao Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. proactively initiated the recall of all affected batches of Bacterial Lysate that had successfully cleared customs and were distributed within the country. The comprehensive recall encompasses numerous batches, amounting to a total of 598,764 bottles of the 18ml product. This measure is imperative to uphold the integrity of pharmaceutical standards and protect public health.
