China NMPA Product Recall - Band-Aid

On August 9, 2017, Jinhua Jingdi Medical Supplies Co., Ltd. initiated a Class III voluntary recall of its band-aids (Zhejinxiebei 20150022), under the oversight of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). The recall stemmed from a packaging defect where instruction manuals for specific batches of "High Elastic Comfort Type" band-aids (72mm×22mm, Batch Numbers 20160901 and 20170101) were found to be missing key information. These omissions included the production address, service hotline, and product technical requirement number. Although the product's performance indicators reportedly met all technical requirements, the labeling discrepancy presented a regulatory non-compliance. In response, the company issued recall notices to all domestic customers, obtaining confirmation for the 80 affected pieces sold in China. All recalled products were returned to the manufacturer, where the deficient packaging was replaced and reprinted. Other packaging and batch information remained unchanged, demonstrating the company's commitment to addressing regulatory deficiencies proactively.
