These devices, registered under CFDA (Imported) No. 2014 3460840, are intended for the internal fixation of tibial and femoral fractures. Despite the recall's global nature, Zimmer Inc. verified that the particular affected batch was neither imported into nor sold within the Chinese market. Operating within its regulatory framework, the NMPA issued guidance (Index No. JGXX-2015-10149) on this recall, instructing food and drug administrations across all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities to heighten their supervision of similar medical products, reinforcing a commitment to public safety even when direct domestic impact is averted.
