FDA EIR - Jasper Products, L.L.C. - August 16, 2022

An FDA inspection was conducted at Jasper Products LLC in Joplin, MO, from August 15-16, 2022. This directed inspection served as a follow-up to Consumer Complaint #175778, specifically focusing on the firm's 1.5 Vanilla dietary conventional shake. The inspection adhered to guidance from Compliance Program 7303.803a, which governs Domestic Acidified and Low-Acid Canned Foods.

The inspection encompassed a detailed walkthrough of the production line, sanitation practices, complaint handling procedures, aseptic manufacturing processes, and the firm's HACCP plan and associated records for the implicated product. During the review of manufacturing, quality, and analytical records, investigators found that all processing controls were met, and all quality and analytical results were within specification. Key critical control points, including sterilization temperatures, flow rates, air pressure, and product packaging parameters, were confirmed to be properly maintained and documented.

Crucially, no significant violations or issues were identified during the inspection. As a result, a FDA 483, Inspectional Observations, was not issued to management. The inspection concluded with a classification of No Action Indicated (NAI), signifying full compliance. While no specific corrective actions were mandated, management was reminded of their ongoing responsibility to comply with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
