FDA EIR - Taylor Farms Pacific, Inc. - May 20, 2021

The FDA conducted a comprehensive surveillance inspection of Taylor Farms Pacific, Inc.'s MacArthur Facility in Tracy, CA, from May 18-20, 2021. This inspection evaluated the company's compliance with 21 CFR Part 117, which governs Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Foods. The review encompassed the firm's food safety plan, including supplier, process, sanitation, and allergen preventive controls, as well as environmental monitoring and recall programs.

During this inspection, no formal FDA Form 483 (Inspectional Observations) was issued. The only identified issue was a structural deficiency where a handwashing facility's drainpipe caused wastewater to splash on employees' boots. Taylor Farms Pacific, Inc. promptly corrected this deficiency before the inspection concluded. The report also noted the firm's effective handling of a previous positive Listeria environmental swab and an elevated coliform water sample, which were investigated and resolved with appropriate corrective actions.
