Jam Jam Services, Inc. – FDA Warning Letter, Feb 3, 2022

On June 1, 2022, the FDA issued a Warning Letter to Jam Jam Services, Inc. following a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) inspection conducted from January 25, 2022, to February 3, 2022. This was the third inspection, with previous inspections on December 30, 2020, through February 1, 2021, and May 14, 2019. The inspections aimed to assess compliance with section 805 of the FD&C Act and 21 CFR part 1, subpart L, which mandates importers perform risk-based activities to verify imported food meets U.S. food safety standards.

The FDA found Jam Jam Services, Inc. not in compliance with FSVP requirements, specifically failing to develop, maintain, and follow an FSVP for any imported food products, violating 21 CFR 1.502(a). The company did not respond to any of the Form FDA 483a, FSVP Observations issued after each inspection.

Failure to address these violations may lead to refusal of admission for imported food products under section 801(a)(3) of the FD&C Act, and potential detention without physical examination (DWPE) under Import Alert #99-41. Importing food without a compliant FSVP is also prohibited under section 301
