FDA WARNING_LETTER - Richardson Nutritional Center, LLC/Nutriseeds, Inc. - June 01, 2021

The FDA issued a Warning Letter to Mr. Richardson regarding products sold on www.nutriseeds.com, www.californiaapricotseeds.com, and www.rncstore.com, as well as claims made in an "eBook" and on a YouTube channel. The FDA reviewed these platforms in January 2021.

The FDA determined that Nutriseeds Fresh Bitter Apricot Seeds, Nutriseeds Natural Amygdalin Extract, Nutriseeds Natural B15 – Pangamic Acid, RNC Bitter Raw Apricot Seeds, and RNC Laetrile B17 are unapproved new drugs and misbranded drugs under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. This is based on claims made across the websites, eBook, and YouTube channel, which indicate the products are intended for the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of diseases. Examples of such claims include treating cancer, boosting immunity, addressing asthma, coughs, gut disorders, lowering cholesterol, reducing respiratory issues, strengthening infection resistance, relieving arthritis pain, and lowering blood pressure.

These products are considered "new drugs" because they are not generally recognized as safe and effective for their intended uses and lack prior FDA approval. They are also "misbranded" because they fail to bear adequate directions for use, as their intended purposes require supervision by a licensed practitioner and cannot be safely self-diagnosed or treated by a layperson.
