FDA WARNING_LETTER - Silva Foods of Kansas City, Inc. - May 29, 2012

On May 22-29, 2012, an FDA inspection of Silva Foods of Kansas City, Inc. revealed significant deviations from Acidified Food regulations (21 CFR Part 108 and Part 114) and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (21 CFR Part 110). These violations caused their acidified food products, including various salsas, to be adulterated under Section 402(a)(4) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
