FDA WARNING_LETTER - www.kiwicigs.com

The FDA's Center for Tobacco Products issued a Warning Letter to Kiwicig.com after reviewing their website and determining that their cigarette products are offered for sale or distribution in the United States. The FDA determined that several products are adulterated under section 902(8) of the FD&C Act because they are modified risk tobacco products sold without an FDA order. These products include those labeled "Light," "Ultra Light," "Extra Light," "Super Light," "Mild," or similar descriptors, or make claims of reduced harm or substance levels (e.g., "low tar," "less noxious and harmful").

Additionally, several cigarette products are adulterated under section 902(5) or misbranded under section 903(a)(1) or 903(a)(7)(A) of the FD&C Act because they purport to contain a natural or artificial characterizing flavor, such as "Apple," "Rum & Cherry," "Mojito," or "Strawberry." Section 907(a)(1)(A) prohibits cigarettes from containing characterizing flavors other than tobacco or menthol.

Kiwicig.com is required to immediately correct these violations and ensure all tobacco products, labeling, and advertising comply with the FD&C Act.
