China NMPA Drug Inspection - Qinghai Provincial Tibetan Hospital - wide-veined vine

On February 24, 2020, the Qinghai Provincial Drug Administration published the results of its first 2020 sampling inspection, focusing on medicinal preparations and ingredients used for COVID-19 prevention and control. The inspections, which concluded on February 19, 2020, evaluated products from the Qinghai Provincial Tibetan Medicine Hospital, Qinghai Jiukang Traditional Chinese Medicine Pieces Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Huifu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The regulatory framework for this oversight included the Drug Administration Law of the People's Republic of China and the Administrative Measures for Drug Quality Sampling Inspection. A total of 19 drug varieties and batches were tested, comprising five medical institution preparations (such as Epidemic Prevention Incense and Red Soup Granules) and 14 prescription ingredients (including Magnolia officinalis and Poria cocos). Testing was conducted against the 2015 Chinese Pharmacopoeia and specific Ministry of Health standards for Tibetan medicine. The results confirmed that all 19 batches were in full compliance with established quality regulations. Because no violations were found, no enforcement or corrective actions were required for the listed organizations.
