Olympus Winter & Ibe GmbH, in conjunction with Olympus Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., has initiated a voluntary Class III recall of its HF-Resection Electrodes. The recall was prompted by the incorrect delivery of certain expired products, which were specifically labeled for "non-clinical use," to end-users. This action falls under the regulatory oversight of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). The official notification, published on December 19, 2025, indicates that detailed information concerning the affected product models, specifications, and batch numbers is available in the accompanying "Recall Event Report Form." The recall aims to address the potential risks associated with the use of expired medical devices delivered inappropriately, emphasizing the manufacturer's responsibility to ensure product safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
