FDA WARNING_LETTER - Taylors Tobacconists LTD

The FDA's Center for Tobacco Products issued a Warning Letter to Taylors-Tobacconists.co.uk after reviewing their website, which offers cigarette, cigarette tobacco, and roll-your-own tobacco products for sale or distribution to U.S. customers. These products are subject to FDA jurisdiction under the FD&C Act.

The FDA determined that the website sold "Auld Kendal" cigarette tobacco and/or roll-your-own tobacco to a person younger than 18, violating 21 C.F.R. § 1140.14(a) and rendering the product misbranded under section 903(a)(7)(B) of the FD&C Act.

Additionally, the website offers numerous flavored cigarette and cigarette tobacco/roll-your-own tobacco products, including various "Auld Kendal" flavors (e.g., Aniseed, Apple, Cherry & Vanilla) and "Djarum Cherry" and "Djarum Vanilla." These products are deemed adulterated under section 902(5) of the FD&C Act because they purport to contain a characterizing flavor other than tobacco or menthol, which is prohibited for cigarettes under section 907(a)(1)(A).
