FDA WARNING_LETTER - Natural Solutions Foundation - May 06, 2020

On May 19, 2020, the FDA and FTC issued a Warning Letter to Natural Solutions Foundation regarding the sale of "Dr. Rima RecommendsTM Nano Silver 10 PPM" products on their websites (www.drrimatruthreports.com, www.opensourcetruth.com, www.truthaboutcoronavirus.com, and www.nsfmarketplace.com). The agencies reviewed the websites on March 11, 2020, and May 6, 2020.

The products are marketed with claims to mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose, or cure COVID-19, making them unapproved new drugs under section 505(a) of the FD&C Act (21 U.S.C. § 355(a)) and misbranded drugs under section 502 (21 U.S.C. § 352). The introduction of these products into interstate commerce is prohibited by section 301(a) and (d) (21 U.S.C. § 331(a) and (d)).

Examples of violative claims include statements like "you have no reason to participate in the COVID-19 panic!" and "Nano Silver 10 PPM and coronaviruses do not mix!" The letter emphasizes that no competent and reliable scientific evidence, including well-controlled human
