FDA WARNING_LETTER - That's Natural

The FDA issued a Warning Letter to That's Natural! Marketing & Consulting, specifically to Tisha T. Casida, on October 31, 2017, following a review of their websites (www.cbdoil.life, www.facebook.com/ThatsNaturalCBDoil, and www.twitter.com/PureCBDHempOil) in August 2017. The review found that the company was marketing "CBD All-Natural Hemp Oil," "Bosom Lotion Potion," and "CBD-Rich Healing Crème" with claims that establish them as unapproved new drugs and misbranded drugs under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act).

The FDA determined that these products, containing cannabidiol (CBD), are intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, thus classifying them as drugs under section 201(g)(1)(B) of the Act. The letter cites numerous examples of therapeutic claims made on the company's websites and social media, including claims related to cancer, diabetes, blood pressure, heart rate, MRSA, breast cancer, TBI, concussions, atherosclerosis, autism, and Alzheimer's.

Furthermore, the FDA concluded that CBD products are excluded from the dietary supplement definition under section 201(ff)(3)(B)(ii) of the Act because CBD has been authorized for investigation as a new drug
