Main violations included the company"s failure to establish controls for histamine levels in tuna and a lack of proper allergen identification, highlighted by the discovery of tuna packaged in salmon boxes. Furthermore, the company maintained inadequate temperature limits for preventing bacterial growth, failed to keep accurate monitoring records for incoming shipments, and lacked required verification procedures for imported seafood from the Faroe Islands. The FDA has required Aaa International Seafood Corp. to respond in writing within 15 working days. This response must outline the specific corrective measures taken to address these deficiencies and include documentation demonstrating how the company will prevent future safety violations. Failure to resolve these issues may result in legal consequences such as product seizures or the suspension of the company"s registration.
